Our beloved classmate, Gena Wimberly (Crawford), 73, of Meridian, Idaho, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.
Gena was a very active classmate participating in the following: Junior Class Treasurer; Prom Chairman; Magazine Sales Manager; F.H.A. (President, Treasurer); Florida VP of Projects; F.T.A.; Latin Club; J.C.L.; Junior Girls; Senior Girls. Gena attended Southside Junior High School prior to EHS. She was truly loved and cherished by all who knew her.
She was born in Florida and was the second of two daughters. Gena carried from an early age a deep love of family, faith, and values that shaped every part of her life.
She married the love of her life, Ted. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Provo, Utah temple. Together they built a life and family filled with love, laughter, and devotion. Gena was a proud mother of four children, a beloved grandmother of eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who brought her immeasurable joy.
Family was at the heart of everything Gena did. Whether preparing home-cooked meals, celebrating holidays, or or sharing simple moments of conversation and laughter, she found her greatest happiness in time spent together. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, loved and important, and her warmth created a sense of belonging wherever she went.
Gena is survived by her husband, Ted; her children Angela, Jason, Christian, and Tyler; her grandchildren Jacob, Maya, Aiden, Mable, Tyson, Lucy, Chase, Scarlet; her great-grandchildren Delilah and Jude; her sister Sheryl, and many more nieces, family members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Buford and Eunice Wimberly.
Gena will be remembered for her kindness, her unwavering support, and the love she poured into her family. Her legacy continues in the traditions she began, the lessons she taught, and the countless memories created with those blessed to know her.
