Phyllis Craig Wheelan

After graduating from the U of F, I took my Phi Beta Kappa key and not much else to NYC, where I spent the first few nights in Connie Doss' hotel room, to work for my doctorate in Political Science- Political Philosophy, Foreign Policy Analysis. I worked in Manhattan as a sometime actor and singer but the competition was fierce! Sometime after the M.A. and before the dissertation defense I married, lived on the upper East Side, and had a little boy, Billy Wheelan (who is now an actor). Eventually I moved to Tarrytown in Westchester County, about 19 miles south of Manhattan and the home of Washington Irving. I had a little girl, Gracie, who is beginning her 3rd year in Film studies/ screenwriting at Univ. of Southern California in L.A. I got divorced. Quelle surpris! I have pursued some regional theatre, commercial and industrial acting, do some improv comedy work and oh yes ultimately got a regular job as a litigation paralegal in employment law. Also,I am a District Leader for the Democratic Party, and am happy that our new administration is concerned with the issues I believe are profoundly important. I am an inveterate lover of the movies and theatre. Also I enjoy long walks on the beach and yadda yadda...
