We are saddened to report that our beloved classmate, Marcus Joshua Prom, age 74, passed away on May 23rd, 2026 in Jacksonville, Florida. Marcus attended Southside Junior High School prior to Englewood High School. Marcus was very active as a Ram and a member of many organizations including Orchestra, Class Chaplain, Cross Country Team, Track Team, and Key Club.  After graduation Marcus attended and graduated from Stetson University in 1973.  While at Stetson he was very successful in obtaining local business financial support for the Hatters' Newspaper. Marcus always lived life to the fullest and was very successful in his business ventures.  Recently, prior to his death, he was so proud of his successful farm he had established in Colorado.  Marcus was loved by some many classmates.  He frequently checked on many of his classmates just to see how life was treating them.  If you knew Marcus I am sure you remember the smile on his face when he saw you.  It was unforgettable.  Marcus always attended or tried to attend all of our class reunions.  He frequently assisted our class reunion committee with the "Englewood 69" Youtube posting on the internet which was always a big hit with our Class Reuion attendees.  Please visit our video and think of Marcus (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZRkWrZwmGM).  Marcus was a strong Christian throughout his life and son of a preacher.  Prior to his death, Marcus posted himself doing a "snow angel" in Colorado.  Well Marcus, Our Lord heavenly promoted you.  You will be greatly missed here on earth.  Our prayers are with your daughter, who was by your side when you left us.
