In Memory

Jill Diane Scarborough

Unfortunately, we do not have an obituary for Jill.  She passed away March 1st, 1997, in Palm Beach, FL. Jill married Fred Hugh Hallman, Jr, in 1970 and later divorced in 1974.  They had one son, Aaron B. Hallman who passed away October 18th, 1991, while attending Hendersonville Community College, TN.  Jill worked her way through nursing school and loved playing piano.  She was extremely sweet and was well liked by everyone who was lucky enough to know her.  Her cause of an early death is unknown.  It is so sad that we do not have any more information to share with our classmates.  What a beautiful person Jill was to all.

Jill was a beautiful girl, inside and out. She had a sweet spirit about her. In Junior High School, we used to spend the night & get our parents to take us to the dances at Glynlea. One night I forgot to ask my parents, so Jill's mom made me call my parents and ask for permission to go to the dance. For some reason, they said no. So Jill & I had to stay home & experiment with hair color instead. Oops! Big mistake..Shoulda gone to the dance!
Rest in peace, Jill.

I had heard that Jill passed away. How sad. She and I had so much fun in school and after school hanging out at the beach. Could that girl tan! She was beautiful, funny and goofy! Jill was a good friend and she went through many things in her life. But I remember one night when Mike and I went out with Jill and her husband and the thing that stayed with me was how much fun we had, how much we laughed and how I always felt good around her. That was her gift.

Jill was my friend, roommate, partner in crime. She was mother of son Aaron whom she adored. She put herself thru nursing school, She was beautiful but down to earth. A rare combination. She played piano and could tear up the Carole King Tapestry songbook with total joy and abandon. I miss her every day.

I'll never forget her rendition of 'Hey Jude' at a school musical. We'll never forget you, Jill.

The year we all came together at Englewood was very special (as freshmen). I do believe it made each of us special. Always remember that we will be together again. Jill I miss you and I believe we will meet again:)
